Probation Violations

Criminal Law / Probation Violations

In cases where people face being incarcerated for a violation of community-controlled sanctions or municipal probation violations, the lawyers of Roberts & Kelly, LLP are often hired to protect them from long and often times unnecessary periods of custody.

ALTERNATE SENTENCING

Often times a court may rush to judgment based solely upon the complaint of a probation officer or other party. A judge may not be aware that the claim is false or that there are extenuating circumstances. Even if there is truth to the claim, the court should be made aware of alternative sentencing options besides jail or prison. Our lawyers not only will appear for a short hearing but will prepare a full presentation on the client’s behalf. They will thoroughly prepare and construct a powerful defense argument including providing verification of employment, proof of treatment for addiction, highlighting reliance by family or co-workers on the client, support from others, and the person’s willingness to lead a productive life.

No case is too small for the attorneys of Roberts & Kelly, LLP. Consequences for all criminal cases are great and with that in mind we will fight aggressively and tirelessly on each client’s behalf.
